As Communications Chair for AIGA CT, I was responsible for promoting a three-part LinkedIn Masterclass series. Despite our best efforts, including the development of a full range of marketing materials (social media graphics, email templates using MailChimp, website banners) and targeted messaging, the event didn’t achieve its desired ticket sales. While this outcome was disappointing, it provided a valuable learning experience.
I gained practical experience in visual design, copywriting, and MailChimp, and I learned firsthand the challenges of promoting niche events and competing for attention in a crowded market. I’m confident that the skills and experience I gained from this project will be beneficial in future marketing endeavors.
